Here are 3 screenshots of the mechanical heart I designed from the short film "Whipping Boy", directed by Michael Chance. The challenge was high and very interesting as I was tasked to imagine and design a conceptual heart device that looked very functional. After hours of researches, studies of the human heart, a deep understanding of technologies and a few concept ideas, I finally developed this concept, based on the Abiocor - a synthetic pump that can be transplanted as a fully operational heart- with the great support of the VFX team and the movie director.
