Orange Speed Machine WIP

Guys, here is the WIP orange ship I'm working on during my (limited) free time. I've been watching my original sketch and wanted to go to 3D for a while now. Also I'm curious to see what I could get from this original sketch once switching into surfaces and details while making improvements here and there in Alias...

Flying thing

So I watched a video tutorial of Ian Galvin, sketching one of his crazy moto-jets and I wanted to give it a try. I'm really far to be satisfied with this result but for the time I spent on it it's ok... Here it's not a moto-jet it's more like a...jet...thing. The second image is more a thumbnailing of the process where I tried to use as minimum layers as possible.

Motor City Ultimate ice machine

As promised, here is a snapshot of my Motor City concept vehicle.
A tough and highly powerful machine on which I didn't even care thinking about steering nor seating features.

The timeless racer

The Timeless Racer new book by Daniel Simon is finally pre-ordered. Can't wait...

"Simon will present in this series over the next years fictitious racing machines at impeccable detail up to 50 megapixel, inluding vehicle specs and maps of the tracks they raced on. All vehicles and characters are explained through the carefully written story of racer Vic Cooper, who time-travels to the past and the future to compete in the most challenging motor races between 1916 and 2582. This is episode 1, the year 2027, written in English, French and German." *Amazon.com*

Quick sketch for a high speed racing machine. Tribute to Paul Larsen who broke incredible speed with a staggering sail "boat".

Airborne 024

Inspired by Scott Robertson's lecture at the CCS last Monday, I sketched this "Airborne 024" assault scene based on a photo found on the web on which I liked the color theme and the light. I used the cutout filter to get less definition on the characters and the main rotor.

Siggraph 2012 L.A.

I very late post about the 2012 Los Angeles SIGGRAPH show.
I was proud to be selected by Lumiscaphe, a French company that develops a Real-Time visualization software for many industries in the world : Patchwork 3D.
They showcased this guy in real-time on their booth. Good times.
