Detroit in the spotlight

Obama: "I could not be prouder" of the auto industry

President Barack Obama used his visit to Detroit to spotlight the resurgence of the city and automotive industry, as well as do a bit of car shopping at the North American International Auto Show. "There's only one Detroit," he said during a speech. "And if you're looking for the best cars and the workers who make those cars, you need to be in Detroit, Michigan. That's why I'm here." Race Time!

Today, like last year, I went to the Belle Isle Grand Prix in Detroit (well, not technically in Detroit but on Belle Isle which is right on the Detroit river). I had the chance to go in the Oak Racing paddock and discuss with Nicolas Brisseau, race engineer on the proto. Good times!
